Hello, I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Jared Morgan. I am a San Luis Valley native. I started my career in education as a middle school/high school Spanish teacher. I loved teaching Spanish and worked in the Sangre de Cristo School district for 15 years. I then moved to Center Schools as a secondary school counselor. That was a very fulfilling position and I learned so much from it. I am currently the Haskin Elementary Principal. I have enjoyed the challenges and growth this position has given me. I graduated from Adams State back when it was both ASC and ASU.
I am married to Heidi and together we have 4 children, 1 girl, and 3 boys. In a couple of months, we will be one child away from becoming empty-nesters. I am excited to work in a district where I have a lot of roots. My grandma Adah Morgan and Aunt Becky Forster taught in Sanford for several decades. My dad, Gary is a Sanford graduate as well. I am also excited to be a part of such a successful district. I look forward to working with the staff and students. As the future superintendent of Sanford School District, I hope to contribute to the legacy that has been left by those who have come before us. I look forward to meeting and building productive relationships with the school personnel, students, and community members. I have an open-door policy so drop in and say hi!
